There is something on my seats. Thats exactly what it is. I live in Alaska, and keep cold weather survival stuff back there at all times, in a large tote. They still should allow me to disable the beeps, as i dont need to be forced a reminder.
From what it may look like, is there is possibly a...
I dont think youre getting it man, lol. This is function you speak if is OFF, but it still beeps. There is possibly a difference in the models functionality in the settings menu for different displays, which may be a software issue. (trd vs sr5 vs sr, etc)
I was at the dealer and verified it...
If the clutch cylinders are hydraulic, as i would imagine them to be, it is due to the fluid being thicker in the extreme cold weather. Same happens to brakes in the extreme cold, but its less noticeable due to the shorter throw in a brake pedal vs clutch.
In addition to that, the seals...
That option doesnt turn off the beeps, it just turns off the message on the screen, i believe.
I passed by the dealer and spoke with a salesman who owns the same SR5 as i do. we verified his does the same thing. He cannot turn off the beeps with either the settings menu or the carista. He...
I appreciate the response. Not the same thing man. Already had those off.
This is an 8 beep, rear seat reminder. If you open the rear door for something, it acknowledges that you opened it up, and it reminds you that you may have left something back there. Not a seat belt warning.
It looks like...
I permanently carry things on my rear seat, and everytime i open and close the doors, i get the 8 reminder beeps.
It doesnt turn off by turning off the rear seat reminder settings, and there isnt an option on Carista.
Its the most infernal and obnoxious thing ive ever seen on a vehicle. Has...
SR5.
Just checking to see if its just my truck, or a model wide issue.
When i tow a trailer, it says the normal "trailer detected" followed by an "is the trailer actually there, yes or no" prompt.
After i remove the trailer and park the truck, the next time i start up with no trailer, it says...
I always get amsoil. Theres tons of interesting torture tests and spec verifications of all oil brands and types on youtube. Amsoil almost always come out as the winner. Its usually Amsoil and Pennsoil that come out on top.
Its not hard to get, so why not.
I do know one thing ive noticed with...
Fantastic engine/trans combo. Ive owned every tacoma generation, and i cant stop driving this one. Im still very impressed with the ultra low torque peak. It just tows so well, its a tab bit shocking.
I think the more time goes on and more people drive these trucks, all the internet trash talk...
I use amsoil, it has a pretty low pour point. But a warm engine will always be better for wear. The block heater radiates and also warms the trans, as i verified with a scan tool. When it was -20 out recently, i hooked the scan tool up while the block heater was plugged in all night. If i...
Gotcha.
Ive been working on heavy machinery and vehicles my whole career. It is just as computer intense as passenger vehicles. As such, I diagnose and troubleshoot lots of computer related issues on these vehicles.
Sometimes, actually lots of times, you get secondary codes that are seemingly...
It would make sense that it could produce a code if its calibrated to that particular airboxes flow characteristics, and you altered it.
As Vehicles are becoming inevitably more advanced, they are becoming extremely sensitive to changes in anything related to fuel management. Thats not always a...
If your vin # isnt under the TSB, its highly unlikely you have a transmission problem.
Its pretty difficult to diagnose a sound without actually hearing it. It would be easier if you recorded it.
Just a thought. Are you sure youre not just hearing the Turbo spool up?
Everything is so easy to repair. I like to change parts with a finite life long before they fail.
This engines water pump and alternator are also gonna be a breeze to change. Water pumps are historically cumbersome and very involved. This one looks like its gonna be an hour or so job. Makes me...
My rattles still gone. If you put a strip of foam the entire length of that corner, the window only clears it the last few inches, by then the window is 90% open.
