I hadn't checked. I change all my fluids almost immediately after i get a new vehicle, within a couple thousand miles. Theres usually quite a bit of metal particles from break in i like to get out. The diffs always look pretty nasty the first go around, clear up after the 3rd or so flush...then...
Update: I drove it around, then rechecked it. The 4.8 quarts they list must be the total for a 100% dry diff. Id say theres most likely 0.8 puddled in there somewhere. Its full at 4.0
Has anyone changed their Rear Diff fluid yet on SR5's? The manual says 4.8 quarts, and my SR5 took exactly 4 quarts. Very level. I wouldve not cared much if it took 4.5, but not a drop more than 4. Seems like the book is quite off.
Thanks, Im in Alaska, so it can be a bit complicated buying from Canada sometimes, not always.
The name sharing is pretty funny. We Alaskans do share alot of commonalities with You Canadian folks, except we get to have alot more cooler guns and suppressors 😂
Nice, thats the one i shouldve purchased. I think i still will, as i dont feel like dropping this everytime i change the oil. Is that the Aluminum version, or steel?
Rough Country Skid Plate. Pretty decent for the price. A tad bit heavy and thick. Mounting to the front stamped brackets was a bit interesting. They dont sit in the correct angle, but once you tighten them, they bend a bit and confirm to the correct angle.
For an SR5, the wheel well liners are...
Has anyone had this issue?
I cant quite pinpoint it yet, as its so random. Maybe 1 out of ten times i start up. Occasionally and immediately after starting up, theres a jolt which seems to possibly be brake related? Its so random, and i think it happens if im on a slight incline, and may be if i...
Mine does as well, when its cracked just an inch. I feel like it sounds as if its coming from the dash somewhere, but i cant realistically reach over and start pushing on spots to locate it, while going 50+ mph.
Check my post out again. They are not offering Engine block heaters in the US market. Kendall was barred from giving me the part number over some dumb decision, most likely based on bad installations.
Only Canadian Toyotas were allowed the block heater from the factory. Theres nothing magic in...
Toyota gave the Canadian buyers the option for a factory block heater, but wouldnt allow it in America from the dealer.
Their reason is potential fires, but that is entirely subject to proper installation, the use of heat sink paste on the element, the use of dielectric grease on the...
They gave me the most massive file dump, from electrical to body to mechanical, for every model and version. It was well worth it.
I was hesitant at first, as they sent me an email asking for the vin number to make sure the manual was correct. Sent them the vin, then literally got every factory...
Hey folks. I always buy the Service Manual for any new vehicle or powersport I purchase. As such, i bought the 4th Gen Tacoma Service manual. I figured id share the Auto Trans procedure for all to use. Pretty much the same as third gens.
As the title states, I have a 2024 SR5. Ive read that the block heater is apparently installed in Canada. I live in interior Alaska, and was told by the dealer they stopped installing it due to fires, but installed an oil pan heater and battery heater, which by all means could have the same...
