18 inch wheel stock to a 17 inch aftermarket?

Hey all, I have a 18 inch wheel on my off-road hybrid, does anyone know if it will take a 17 inch aftermarket wheel? Seems like I read something about a larger front disc caliber?

Pretty sure 17” won’t fit with our hybrid brake packages. As the selection of 18” wheels is fairly limited, I’m considering 20” at some point.

Seems like folks are getting 17 inch wheels on the hybrid models. I had heard that the brakes were bigger and it might be an issue. Have more tire options at better pricing with 17 inch wheels. I would like confirm with someone that they will fit though.

Pretty sure 17’s will fit. I’ve seen it on a forum somewhere… But if they fit on a Tundra Hybrid I can’t imagine they wouldn’t fit on a Hybrid Taco.
