2024+ interior rear door protector availability

Looking for custom fitted interior door protectors for 2024+ Tacoma. Canvasback makes a beautiful product for 16-23 Tacomas and plans to make them for 24+ if they get enough interest. If this is something y’all are interested in, please reach out and express interest! I am in no way affiliated with them but they offer a nice product. If anyone knows of any other well fitting product please post here! The “hip” in the rear door makes the cheap Amazon covers not fit well.

I wish there was a way to hold these in place without adhesive. It was a GooGone nightmare getting the adhesive off of my Sierra when I went for trade in. I do like the coverage of the Canvasback vs the WeatherTech though.

It'll be a month or two before I get my truck and could report back how the fit goes or doesn't. We use the WeatherTech in two other vehicles and they are really durable against our ~100lb dog. So I'll have the benefit of being able to test fit both the larger and smaller before triggering an order for the Tacoma. But I understand your concern.

It likely won't change anything, but just in case it's valuable information. The way it attaches isn't a single lip. It's 3 tabs - about 2in in from each side and one in the middle. Each tab is about 4"x4" square I would say. On my highlander, I had to cut the 4th tab short b/c it needed to tuck into the fixed window portion over the wheel curve, but the design allowed me to easily span from the moving window portion to the fixed window portion.

The hip isn't a huge deal but it would depend on what approach you wanted to take if going the WeatherTech route.

The smaller cover fits the window run perfectly but leaves some door edge a bit exposed. The larger cover guards more but you'd have to trim the tab and go vertical, or (I'm contemplating) using a combo of Velcro and 3M Command strips to tape the 4th tab in position but still be removable.

I've never had a problem opening and closing the window with these installed on my other vehicles. They ride up a 1/2" (1cm) or so when the window is re-closed but nothing that doesn't just work itself back into place.

(Note: the rightmost tab on the tan cover is pre-cut down due to my existing vehicle needing it shortened. The regular tab is more square. Just takes measuring and a sharp blade or strong scissor to alter)

I have the Canvasbacks arriving today! They say you need to use the Velcro if you want to be able to roll the windows up and down with them installed. I’ll post pics within the next day or so.

Fits well, Velcro is required. I got the Graphite color. Will do the trick for me!
