2024 Tacoma Automatic Transmission Dipstick

Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well.
Being a Ford guy for a very long time, I made the decision to switch to Toyota for many reasons.
One of my questions for everyone is.......
Will Toyota put a dipstick back into their automatic transmission?
I can not find any data on this matter yet and was wondering if anyone knew what to expect for the next generation of Tacoma automatic transmissions.

I think nobody knows yet unless you ask one of those guys/group that received one from toyota for specific reasons.

I wish they would but I doubt its there. I have'nt seen a transmission dipstick in over a decade.

how can you check the color of the transmission fluid in the 2024's?

Doubt it. Even if there was a dipstick now, what would it tell you? Color would be OK, level would be OK. The current trans issues appear to be caused machining residue in the trans. Doubtful that you'd see that on the stick.

They haven't had a dipstick for maybe 20 years. I don't see it returning.

how can you check the color of the transmission fluid in the 2024's?

It won't tell you much. But if you felt compelled to do it anyway, you could crack the standpipe valve when it's hot and have a little ooze out.
