Hi All - I noticed a slight coolant leak coming from the hoses connected to the expansion tank. Coolant levels didn’t look low, so I figured it would be an easy fix. Made an appointment and dropped it off at the dealer 7/25.
They let me know they need to replace a part (coolant bypass?), but there are no parts in stock nationwide and had no idea when they’d have it. A few days later they told me 9/9, then 8/28.
It seems crazy to me for my brand new truck with ~2000 miles to be stuck in the shop for over a month waiting on a $12 part.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there a way to escalate this? The dealer has been accommodating and even got me a loaner TRD ORP, but I’d rather have my truck back.
