Here’s mine, 17x8 +20 wheel with 285/70R17 Toyo R/T which says 33.0” diameter on the spec sheet. Likely the same as your Falkens. Stock suspension. Running about 32-35psi and been happy with the ride.

Small lift will be going on when those wheels go back on in the spring.

Did you get in on the Icon sale they had them wheels a month or so ago? I picked up the same ones as yours for like 176.00ea.
yes, I did. I originally had the pros but my local tire place refused to put them on so I settled for those because they were cheap and nice enough so that the build would look good.

Those are great photos thank you. They really show that I’m not too far off with how mine are set up. I really appreciate it. I felt like there was something wrong with my Tacoma because everyone else sounded like they had 6 inches on either side.

Yeah there’s not an abundance of space, but I’ve flexed it out pretty good off-road and have never had a rub.

I was looking at them bronze bead locks they had marked down to like 120.00ea, but they were a 0 offset. Wasn’t quite sure if I wanted that much tire/wheel poke, but after seeing some builds with 0 offsets I kinda wish I would have got them. 0 offset with some wider fender flairs look pretty nice.

I have a 25 SR5. I'm considering upgrading to +25 wheels and 285/70 Wildpeaks. Can anyone confirm that you are able to turn the wheel completely, like for a U-Turn for example without rubbing with no lift?

Thanks!

I am running what I posted and I rub. Even after an alignment, changing the caster and camber, I still rub. I’m now at the point we have to lift it and do control arms.

some folks seem to have gotten a different truck or different suspension than I have because I lost a good bit of travel and, again, rub on 285/70/17 wildpeak at4w c load with a +25 offset.

That is so crazy. I put on 33.4” tires and still had room. Now I’m on 285/70/17 Falkens and have a mile of space on all sides. So much variation.

I've read that some people remove the small crash plates behind the front tires. Not suggesting that someone should do this but I've read that it gives the tires a lot more clearance.

I have done so much work to try to figure this out - it’s actually going to a 4x4 shop with a great reputation after even Toyota couldn’t make it totally clear, even with them putting the same size tire on tacomas in their lot.

It only rubs the front carpet wheel well stuff - I have about an inch and a half in back, but at compression it hits and at full turn that carpet gets torn up. I might cut it and just tuck it in because it’s close, but not totally clearing.

Your castor is way too positive ! There is no way you should have 1.5” in the back and rub up front (at full lock). I for sure don’t have that much space in the back - I got about 1” in the back at full lock on 285/70/17s.

I’ve had 3 shops look - including 2 Toyota dealerships because I thought one was an idiot. It’s going in for the last time soon and I’m getting the numbers printed.

I’ll share them.

I’ll take pics in a bit when I can.

Sounds good - I’d go to a top notch alignment shop armed with OEM spec ranges and get that castor right— most folks have too little room in the back and ample room up front. I recognize my TH has more room up front because of the bumper shape but that only comes into play with 34-35 inch tires. 33” tires should be easy peasy lemon squeezy
