I have a 2024 Limited. My truck had just under 1000 miles on it when I changed it. The ride and drivability is basically unchanged; especially if you drive in sport mode. I have had a Tacoma since 2005, both 2nd and 3rd Gen's. I still have the 2016. I have done a side-by-side comparison. This new 4-cylinder turbo is awesome. I noticed a fairly big impact on the 2nd and 3rd Gen's when I put 33's on them, not on this 4th Gen. I love this thing.

It is amazing whether you’ve got a hybrid or not you’re absolutely right. In my video above I talk about getting lighter wheels to achieve OEM weight with aggressive 285/70/17s. Not necessary but it’s a cool option.

I did exactly that on my 3rd gen. I went with lighter wheels and larger tires. They turned out beeing 2lbs heaver each wheel, which is nothing. Have a great day!
