I'm considering a TRD Offroad as my next vehicle. Never owned a Toyota.
With some of other vehicles I've owned, you've been able to buy the parts and add features from other models.
Mt question is, what is the realistic possibility of adding 360 camera to the TRD OR.
It looks like this is behind a 9k package with a ton of stuff I don't need.

I don't think anyone really knows. But once build and price is available on Toyota website, we will all know.

If this is set up just light the 3rd gen then the regional distributors will more than likely have several different packages you can choose from and not just the upgrade and premium that are already published. If you then you may have to get a few extra options as part as those packages to get the 360 cameras.

I guess I'm asking is what has it been like in the past with Toyota?
Take VW for example, for as long as I can remember you could buy the parts, install them and use Vag-Com to update the programing to add the features.

I currently own a Tiguan I'm not happy with, but I could buy the cameras and add the 360 view.
Or the memory module and buttons to add seat memories.

Looking at what people have done with the 22 - 24 tundra I think it might be possible. To my knowledge no one has done the full camera install on the tundras, but people have successfully swapped the smaller 8 inch screen for the large 14 inch screen, which would be the first step needed towards the cameras.

As others mentioned it might be possible to get the camera system separate from the premium package. On the outgoing 3rd gen the cameras were part of the advanced technology package. Hopefully the configurator will go live soon (my guess is the 1st) and answer that question.

Watching the reviews and complaints about the tall hood and visibility, all I want is the 360 view.
Hope it's not tied to a big package.

The 2023 model's lowest option with MTM was the advanced technology package with premium audio. No option to get just the advanced technology package though. If what's been is accurate, there are even fewer options for the 2024. MTM seems to be locked behind the $8,800 premium package which is very disappointing.

Yea I've made the comment in other threads, really want back in a manual, but this pricing is really making a Ranger Raptor look like a deal in comparison.

Hi sir,

I have a TRD ORP and yes I know it’s a lot of money, but if I’m being honest, the features that come with the premium package are all my favorite things about the truck. Especially the MTM camera system. It’s especially useful for going over hills where you can’t see over the front of the truck. I use it everyday and have it set so that under 10 mph it comes on. I got mine for 52, with everything except swaybar disconnect. Sure, that’s a lot of money for a mid size tuck, but it’s a bitchin’ truck, I’m not going to lie. I get at least once compliment from a stranger on it every day. Deals are out there and can be found if you know where to look. If you need a hand putting you in contact with the right folks to help you find one let me know and I’ll point you in the right direction. I’ll attach some pics of the camera views for you and a pic of my truck for your reference.

Yep! The only factory option with MTM (360 camera) is $8800! I added a front camera to my 2013 Tundra. For $8800 Toyota can get bent! When I get a 2024 Tacoma I’ll find a way, or most likely someone else will, to add a front camera for under $100.

On previous Toyotas it’s been fairly easy to add a lot of missing features. I remember seeing a guy add crawl control by adding the knob and control module for it.

I bought a Bluetooth back-up camera from Amazon for about 80 bucks for my boat trailer that I didn't need and I'm gonna put it on the front of my truck. It should work fine. That particular one is unavailable but you can find others on Amazon.
