Apple CarPlay Issues - Navigation Location

Driving home from the dealership last night my navigation kept thinking I was about 30-50 yards away from where I actually was. I got the same result on Waze, Apple and Google Maps. The only way I was able to get an accurate location was to disconnect CarPlay. I looked online and it sounds like VW, Toyota and BMW have had this issue before. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, have you found a fix?

My 22 Trail Boss does this with Apple Car Play nav as well. I think its a cellular issue more than the vehicle. I just taught myself to look for the road I need a little sooner. Seems to do better in 5Guw locations.

I’ve seen this before too across multiple brands. Apple CarPlay is actually setup so that the truck passes GPS data to the phone. It works 95% of the time but still acts up some of the time. My phone is over 3 years old now so maybe the newer models are a little more reliable.
