Apple CarPlay - Siri Issues?

Anyone have any issues with Siri? Trying to reply to a text message and Siri only picks up the few words of a sentence dictated. Also “she” doesn’t respond to commands like cancel or reply to…Tried with a cable. Same thing. iPhone 15 Pro issue or Tacoma?

Same here on the SR5. Siri has a hard time picking up what I say sometimes. For example: talk to text, or requesting song etc… not sure if its a carplay, Toyota, or Siri issue. I'll even have trouble connecting to carplay after using the Toyota app to start my truck on colder days in the morning. Just know you're not alone on the issue. Could possibly need firmware update. Still love my truck though. Minor issue is all.

I have a 15 Pro, and no issues other than Siri having trouble with my accent, which is nothing new. Did you try restarting your phone? Contrary to what Apple will tell you, sometimes a restart will fix things.

I traded in my 24 Tundra TRDOR LTD for the new Tacoma. Same infotainment system. Never had an issue. Really like the Tacoma despite all the hate. Maybe it’s just the latest IOs update with AI.

No issues on mine. Sometimes I have to hit the button on the steering wheel to get it to listen, but never an issue. The only problem I have is that it doesn't mute music when it talks. I'm sure that's a Toyota problem, because it worked fine on my 21 F150. Hopefully they fix that. I've had both an iPhone 14 Pro Max and now an iPhone 16 Pro Max.

I have a few issues on my 2025 TRD Pro:

1) Siri will not read back any incoming text messages

EDIT: after updating to IOS 18.3.1 today Siri is reading messages out of driver/left door.
Is this normal? My other vehicles would pause audio and Siri would voice through the entire system

2) When pressing button to dictate to Siri only the left side volume lowers [if music playing] and Siri occasionally keeps listening to the car after I'm done dictating [perhaps when volume loud enough]
