In my opinion, you're just pissing your money away for wheel locks because thieves will have those wheels off that truck in three minutes flat.
They use a slightly smaller 12 point socket. One whack knocks it on there and then you can remove the wheel lock.
Drove through an apartment complex/year to visit someone and saw Honda Accord sitting on blocks and the poor girl and the police were there. They must've been fast!

Better tell this to the thousands of mechanics and tire shops that can’t get them off with all the tools and time in the world. I’m not doubting what you’re saying, just that it may not be that easy as that.

Back in 91 I lost the key to a locking lug nut and I went to a gas station and the guy charged me $80 to take it off.
He had a little kit with about a dozen different shapes in it that he could use.
I say $80 is a little much especially at that time and he told me that cost him $800.
Here is a set on Amazon for $56. There's others also.
Can't imagine a mechanic who deals with that often, and not having one of these since I'm sure they run into that issue all the time and wouldn't want to hammer on a socket to get a lug off normally.(And having to replace that socket every time)

Those would probably work on my taco but not on my jeep or daughter’s civic. Too symmetrical. Anyway don’t think it’s a waste of money. They prefer to hack out your cat these days.
