Hello Tacoma 4Gs .....After trying to find a black 1958 LC for a year to replace my beloved 2016 Quicksand Taco and worrying how i was going to keep a SUV clean I decided to purchase a Trailhunter. I am very Happy with it for what I like to do, it has everything ready to go and under warranty. I love the new power train and seats. Also the small things like the bed lights and surprisingly the tailgate is great. Its the nicest truck I ever owned by far and for me its like offroading in a lexus.

I have 1000 plus miles and have gone in sand and mud and its a tank. I think the only irritating thing is the fuel tank size is small and that's coming from a guy on a Island so yea that's about it. Its expensive but at the same time modding a truck and shipping to Hawaii is insane too you im ok with the price however i got 4000 of MSRP. BTW I sold my old taco for very good money so I had half down so thats why I stay with toyota at the end of the day resale is insane.

Anyways I added 275 70 18 yokohama MT tires it a pretty tight fit but no rubbing at this time. Look foward to learning and checking out all the other tacos out there.

@Lunkerbuster808 I first fell in love with Tacos when I lived on Oahu - they were everywhere!

Enjoy that beautiful truck - it really looks at home there in paradise. Post some pictures with some of that red dirt sprayed down the sides!

Aloha amigo!

That Trailhunter looks right at home over there in HI, and hopefully you’ll post some killer pics of that beast slaying the trails on the island. I purchased my Trailhunter in MA back in November, and over the first 3K miles I’ve enjoyed absolutely everything about driving this bad ass truck.

I traded my FJ Cruiser for a Lexus hybrid SUV in 2018 as I was driving 150 miles daily for work at the time but regretted it the first big snow storm we got as the FJ was a beast in the snow.

I was not in the market for a new car, but decided to test drive the Tundra 1794, Tacoma Limited, and the Tacoma Trailhunter to possibly buy a car in late 2025. After driving the Trailhunter I realized that it had everything I loved about the FJ, nothing that I disliked, and was way nicer than nicer than my Lexus, so I pulled the trigger and had a sold sign in the window before leaving the dealership that night and picked it up the next day after wiring the dealership $ and getting the registration & insurance squared away.

Enjoy it and use it well my friend!!
