So I’ve been installing various mods here and there… most recently the Tacoma OEM bed step. And now I’m trying to install this black Chrome Exhaust Tip. Judge me all you want, I honestly don’t care lol…. But I followed the steps in this YouTube video I’ve attached where I pulled the exhaust all the way to the tip and I tightened it at the back as well and it stayed put for a week until yesterday. It was a pretty mildly windy day here in Texas and the pipe fell off when accelerating up a hill
. So I had to order another wish me luck when installing the next one. But I just wanted to give everyone a heads up not to follow the instructions of this guy in this video because it did not work for me. I have since watched various other videos of 3rd gen tacomas installing the black chrome exhaust on the opposite side and all those videos, none of the owners pulled the tip all the way to the end. It sucks that the part doesn’t come with instructions so I had to rely on youtube university and google.
I have attached some photos of when I did install it for those who are interested to see how it looks. It really looks awesome.
