I did a lot of research before I went with a lot of CBI products.. Prinsu Pro roof rack for 24 Tacoma ( decided not to get ARB/ Toyota Rack after hearing all the noise comments). Rack is awesome and that’s where CBI stopped being awesome.. had AVO in Asheville order the Covert front bumper which was advertised as retaining all factory sensors and lights and had mounting and would fit a winch.. They actually advertise the WARN VR 10s to sell with the bumper to fit… That didn’t work well as there were some problems mounting the front bumper with what sounds lie multiple calls from AVO to CBI during the process.. When they finished they said BTW CBI didnt figure in the Fog Lamps and havent created brackets for that yet so yours are in the floorboard until they make the brackets that will fit. AND THEN, while driving home from MS to TN, got the dreaded multiple warnings (Grill Shutter malfuction/ Check Engine/ System Malfunction/ Drive-Start Control Malfunction) as I started up after refilling gas tank. Drove to dealer the next morning and they claim it is all because of the winch touching the grill shutters. Also there was an Ambient Temp Sensor just flopping in the breeze.. Looks like AVO will have to remove the winch until CBI can desing a bumper that will mount a winch that wont interfere with Grill Shutters.
All this on top of the CBI Tacoma Overland Bolt on sliders didnt bolt on when we attempted to bolt on.. had to cut a small piece off a metal hanger on both sides to get the holes to line up.. And the long through bolt through frame did not work as there is no hole and there is framing. There on the hybrid that it doesnt work as they described.
very little communication back from CBI after I sent them pics and description other than they heard from someone else who had same problem.
They said that the Hybrid was a little different in stuff on frame than the non Hybrid..
I will say that once we cut and bolted the sliders on that they are really nice..
But someone needs to be proofing their designs before they release products to customers. I will have to drive 3 hours one way to Asheville and spend the night to get the problem fixed.. Not happy to say the least..

Don’t even think they did that. From what I am hearing is that they did not realize there was a difference between the hybrid and non hybrid models.

Depends on whether you have Hybrid or not and whether they corrected things in the past 6 weeks since I got mine. Good luck. They are really nice once you get them on.

I'll be doing a full write up on my CBI Super Sport Covert bumper once I get it installed. It came last Thursday (ordered 11/22/24). This goes on an Off Road. I have no problem installing it myself but was a little perturbed that there was no packing list or documentation whatsoever in the box. Just a QR code printed on the outside which takes you to a generic Youtube page that lists all of the install videos they have.

I texted their customer service on Sunday and have yet to hear back from anyone but I already know the answer. They have no install video or instructions for my bumper. They have a video for the standard Covert bumper and it's 90% the same but it still bugs me. Literally the only difference they mention in the video is the different cut lines.

I called customer service Monday morning b/c the video shows a solenoid relocation bracket and the installer states "every bumper we sell comes with a solenoid relocation bracket". Mine did not and it sounds like maybe that wasn't included for you either? The customer service agent I talked to said that my bumper doesn't need the solenoid relocated which I don't understand because I would think the two bumpers should have the exact same mounting for the winch. I argued with her for 10 or 15 minutes and she finally said she would talk to engineering and call me back. It's been two days and no call.

Oh, and when I told her about the video saying "every bumper we sell comes with a relocation bracket" (at the 19 minute mark in the video), her response was "the kid doing the install just didn't know what he was talking about".

I will say the bumper looks really solid and the welds and powder coating are nicely done. If everything lines up and fits well I'll be happy with the product, but so far the customer service has been abysmal. I'm not sure when I'll actually be able to install the bumper. I can't fully fit my truck in the garage so I'm doing the install w/the garage door open and it's not forecasted to be out of the upper 30's/low 40's here in WA anytime soon.

I have CBI sliders and they look amazingly built.
Unfortunately, truck is in the shop so I have yet to install them but I will post if there are/aren't any install issues once I get it back

Good luck. If you plan on also installing a winch, I would wait until they figure out all the spacing. I will be taking mine in end of next week and they are probably going to pull the winch until something changes.

Did your bumper come with the relocation kit? If you look at the install video starting ~19:00 he shows it. I can see how the relocation could cause its own problems if the solenoid itself sits too far out and hits the grill shutters.

I ordered a set of Overland rock sliders from CBI a couple weeks ago. Now, I'm a bit nervous about that. I am replacing OEM rails on my Trailhunter. I have two concerns at this point: fitment and customer service. I will reach out to CBI customer service. Have heard back from them yet?

They sent a brief reply that basically said oops and not much more. Disappointed. OEM sliders easy to remove. CBI sliders finally line up after my son and I did some grinding/ cutting.
