for those of us without the factory aux switches its very apparent that lots of the stuff to make those work are also missing from our trucks. here's my solution so add aux features to my truck in my option is the cleanest setup I've seen so far

parts used:
cali raisedled square switches
6 Way Relay Fuse Box
18 Gauge 2 Conductor Electrical Wire (probably would suggest the 3 or 4 conductor version if you have more than one switch you want to install)

we will start with installing the aux relay/fuse box
in the fuse box by the battery there is a open bus connector I used this to add my aux relay/fuse box
this bus connector has a insert around it and at the side of the box that can be removed to make adding the hole much cleaner than doing it while is on the truck

next is to run a cable from the new aux relay box in through the firewall. I would recommend a cable with multiple conductors in it, I used one with two in the future I will likely replace it with one with 4 conductors . 1 will be used to provide 12v to the switch(s) and the others will be used to return 12v from the switch to activate the relay. connect the red conductor to the + on the battery or to bus connector if the hole you made is big enough. the other conductors can be connected to the relay signal wires for me I chose the blue (so the skinny blue wire)

you will need to provide a ground to the relay box as well (skinny gray wire)

now for the switch. I used the cali raised OEM style square switch
to make the switch function just like the OEM switches I used wire taps connected to one of the unused connectors (the one with only 4 wires on it)
the light yellow color wire on the right side of the OEM plug is 12v dash light controlled so it provides power to light up the switch when the rest of the switches light up at night. this gets connected to the yellow wire on the new switch
the black wire on the opposite end of the OEM plug is ground it gets connected to both the black and white wires on the new switch

next we will connect the wires we ran though the firewall to the switch. the red wire we connected to + on the battery will connect to the red wire on the new switch(s) if running more than one switch you can splice them together so that this one wire will provide source for all of them

next connect one of your other conductors that come though the firewall (in my case black) to the green wire. this will provide a trigger for the relay.

from there you can wire the device to the relay (big cables) and bob's your uncle
