This is my first vehicle I’ve owned with cloth seats. I actually love them and they’re comfortable as they’re not slippery and don’t temp to extremes. So far I’ve avoided any stains but I’m wondering what you all do to maintain and/or clean the fabric. I plan on owning the truck for a long time so want to maintain it the best I can. Thanks.

Toyota cloth seats are legendary for being comfortable to sit on, and nearly indestructible. When people sell older Toyota 4x4s online the trucks with leather interiors are usually a mess. The trucks with cloth seats always have seats that look like new, even in trucks that have not been babied.

So although I have owned Toyota trucks with cloth interiors I don't have any special tips, because none are really needed. I did vacuum out my 2nd gen Taco occasionally and wipe down the vinyl, but other than that I did nothing special and it looked like new when I traded it in.

Agreed, but the off white inserts was a really poor decision by Toyota! Mine did stain… Probably should have scotch guarded them day 1? Replaced them with Katzkins.

Yeah - I forgot about the off white inserts. I have never had any light colored cloth seats, which would be easy to stain, so I would definitely recommend treating them with scotch guard.

Folex is an excellent product for removing stains. I’ve been using it on cars for years. You can find it a home despot and many other stores. Just follow the instructions. You can also use a carpet cleaner to deep clean the seats. Use the manufacturers recommended soaps and make sure you rinse well.
