HELP .. kinda worried .. MaybeI just got scammed .
when turning on the taco 5 seconds in it shows I have 9273 miles with a key next to it but then after those 5 secs pass it says my original miles 731 ? Should I take it in ??
Has anyone else noticed this ?
or this just like a random number before loading up your actual miles ??

See the wrench icon next to it? It's a maintenance reminder, telling you to take it in for service in that many miles. The odometer will go up as that other one goes down. When you hit about 10k miles, you'll get a "maintenance required" message somewhere on the cluster.

I'm laughing (with you).

I bought my 2016 Taco new. When I looked at it, it had 10 miles on it. I closed the deal and flew out for a week and came back to pick it up. I got in, and I saw 360 or something on it. I just about turned around. At some point, I realized that was the frigging range estimation.

Yes, the odometer is needlessly confusing. My Venza has a button to cycle through Odom., Trip A and Trip B. So simple! The Tacoma does not even list odometer in the index so I have not been able to tell if it has Trip A & B.

Speaking of the Trip meter, I've noticed mine maxes out at 9,999.9 miles lol. I never reset them, but seems to be normal
