We went snowshoeing in the mountains of Colorado this weekend and almost got stuck. The road to the trailhead is not maintained so there was about 14"+ of snow for the first half then it got deep. Started up a hill and I could see where someone else had gotten stuck before and left it un-passable with new snow on top of the deep ruts that would take you into the ditch.

So, just had to back down a few hundred yards to get to a pull off. Figured we would go from there. Backing downhill in deep snow is a bit of a trick that I did not master that day. Truck slid off to the side and was not going anywhere for a moment. I got out and my wife got behind the wheal so I could give directions and push as needed.

4L and the wife said what does this do, asking about the crawl control. I gave her the 15 second description as she turned it on. She put it in reverse and let the truck do it's thing. I could not believe how easily it worked it's way out of the rut and backed down to the spot to park. I wish I had some pictures to give some more context but dam, it was kinda crazy impressive!

After we parked, my wife said, "OK, I think I am really liking this truck." :) No pics of the "adventure" but just for a little idea, this is from the hike.

Hey Airborne brother. It's Mike from the other forum with the dead 2024 Tacoma. I see you are ordering the 2025. Smart move. I'm debating between a 2025 and a 2023 at this point. I should have my lemon Tacoma bought back by Toyota early next week and then I can shop. I got my truck fixed finally and it died again the next day. Just got it back this morning and got a call from the company that will pick it up. Should have a check by next Friday!! Show us some pics of that Bronze Oxide OR..... its beautiful! AATW

Crawl Control is amazing. Had it in my 17 4Runner TRD Pro. Out hunting all day and snowing. Leaving that night with about 6" of snow and came to 1st steep grade down from the ridge and here are several other 4WD trucks parked and drivers out looking at the grade down. I popped it into 4Low and slowest crawl control and down I went with barely a slide. The New Tacoma's crawl control is a vast improvement over the 17 4Runners. Haven't used yet, just played with it a few times

I am looking forward to more adventures for sure. I have never had anything with this kind of technology (79 CJ5 and 94 Ram) so it is a completely new experience to me. I just couldn't believe how it worked. My wife was steering with a smile on her face, saying I am not doing anything. I was outside giving a few directions to keep her centered, once we got centered, down the 100/150 yards and muttering holy S*#T, dam, this is crazy...
