The company has engineered a selection of lighting upgrades, including fog lights, ditch lights, reverse lights, a unique bed light kit, and more. Already well-known among Toyota enthusiasts for its focus on performance and quality, Diode Dynamics considers the 2024 model a clear next step.

“When we heard Toyota was working on the fourth generation of their best-selling midsize truck, we knew we had to start planning,” said Paul McCain, CEO. “We are proud to be the first lighting company to offer a full range of solutions for this all-new model.”

Toyota's Tacoma has long been a favorite among consumers for its rugged design and off-road capabilities. With the 2024 model, Toyota continues to push boundaries. Diode Dynamics products are renowned for their durability, brightness, and easy installation, making them the perfect choice for Tacoma owners looking to enhance both style and function.

"We are thrilled to announce our support for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma," said Tara Bloch, Director of Marketing at Diode Dynamics. "Our team worked very hard - and quickly - to engineer products that are true upgrades in lighting performance. With our commitment to US manufacturing and engineering, customers can trust that they are getting the highest quality lighting upgrades for their Tacoma."

To fully support development efforts, Diode Dynamics purchased a TRD Offroad model, with the help of Ackerman Toyota, in St. Louis, Missouri. Since engineers had access to this vehicle during development, consumers can rest assured that all products have been fully tested for fitment, ensuring a pain-free installation process.

Hello, the turn signals do not list the TRD Off-road as a supported trim. I would assume it is in fact supported as it was the purchased test vehicle according to this post. Is it correct that the TRD Off-road is also a supported model?

Thank you!

It should be. I believe all lower trims share the same headlight housings except for Limited (I think?), TRD Pro, and Trailhunter, which have LED DRLs.

The switchback bulb seems like a great upgrade. Should have been included from the factory with something of similar style.

Agreed on all points. Just thought it odd it would be specifically left out.

Love the look of the switchback bulbs.

The interior lighting in the new tacos are pretty dim, I would buy an upgraded LED from you guys in a heartbeat.

Also, the headlights on the Trailhunter, TRD Pro, and Limited have an exclusive DRL at the bottom of the housing. I'm curious to know if that is just a bulb that can be installed or if it is a completely different part?

Thank you all for your feedback!

These bulbs are not compatible with those trims that have factory LED turn signals.

We have an improvement to adjust our website listing this week to clear compatibility concerns.

UPDATE: Recieved my switchback LED bulbs today. They do work on the TRD Offroad models (Premium trim in my case, just FYI). I have uploaded some comparisons of the new bulbs vs. the old. Very improved in my opinion!

I would note, however, that although they say it is plug-and-play, you will need to spice in a resistor that will trick the computer into thinking there is a normal incandescent bulb installed (otherwise your turn signals will hyper-blink). This requires a certain amount of modification. I was a bit uncomfortable with what I had to do at certain points on a 1 week old truck, but I have done a fair amount of electrical work and was confident I could do a good job.

There weren't really any specific instructions provided, it basically leaves the installer to determine which wire is the ground and amber blinker wire. Thankfully to anyone reading this, I have already figured out the wires you need to splice. In of the photos below you will see the splicing connectors on the 2 outer wires of the 3 on the bulb assembly. The colors differ slightly per side, but it is always the 2 outer wires.

You will need to be prepared to carefully cut some of the black wire wrap (I had already done that in the photos below), splice the wires in, and (I would strongly recommend), wrap the whole thing in electrical tape.
