Does anyone know what this part is?

Last night I step outside and could hear this (electric motor?) running. The truck had been off for 6+ hrs. After I bumped the connector it shut off, I twisted the connector a little and it came back on? I’ve had intermittent “12 volt charging system malfunction” light come on since 200 miles. It’s got 2800 miles now.

Pretty sure it’s part of the gas tank vapor emissions system.

And it’s normal to occasionally do its thing when the vehicle is parked/off.

Thank you for the response. I’m fairly ignorant when it comes to newer gas vehicles. Would that be something that should kick on and off without the truck running?

I read on this forum, not sure page link, actually states in the manual about this coming on about 4-5 hrs after shutting off.

Toyota publishes information this on Page 7 of the owners manual, yet it’s amazing how many questions are still asked.
