Can someone enlighten me on how to install these seat covers? The box came with no instructions, no identifying paperwork to show which piece goes where, but with a little comparison between the pieces, I think I have it all figured out. I am attempting the driver's seat bottom first, and 30 minutes in, I'm very stuck. How do you push the seat cover between the top and bottom of the seat and then grab it and hook it underneath? Does the seat have to come off? There's literally no room to see anything and the stock back seat flap is in the way and I can't get under it to remove the elastic straps holding it down so I can grab the seat buckles and elastic and hook them up.

I've been standing out here in the wind and 50 degree weather trying every which way to do this and I'm not making any progress. Also, does the cover slip under the hard plastic seat controls? Vehicle specific instructions would have been very helpful. Just a little rant, kind of tired, cold, not making progress, and I want to love these and eventually will, but man, they are not easy to install. I might pull the other car out of the garage, move the truck in, and see if its any easier.

I'm going to rant before I answer your questions. Does nobody do any research anymore? Or do they strictly come to places and ask questions in hopes that someone answers them before they have to actually look for the answers?

The majority of your questions are answered in various other threads around here. You just have to use the search button.

Not trying to be an asshole specifically to you, as there are many more people that do the same thing.

Now on to your questions (I'm drawing from my experience with only the front seats here):
  1. Orientation - head rests should be easy to identify. Seat backs are oriented so that the airbag flap and label are facing the door.
  2. The flap on the bottom of the seat has to come undone in order to fish the straps through. It can be very difficult to do this as the elastic straps are very tight. Someone else in one of the other threads said it can be easier to do this with the seat folded and to use a bent coat hanger to fish it loose/snap it back in place. You can remove the seat if you want, and it ultimately may be easier, but it is not necessary.
  3. I fished the elastic from the seat cover under the controls on both sides of the seats for a cleaner look. Just kinda loosely hooked them on the sides over all of the other crap that is under the seat. However I did tighten the straps (front to back) so that the covers are secure.

The first seat for me took over an hour, and a lot of cuts. But after I learned what needed to be done and how to do it, the other was done in about 15 minutes.

I'll ignore your first section because it doesn't pertain to helping me here. I could have searched, didn't feel like it, I needed to post to relieve some of my frustration with the whole process from no instructions in the box, no labelling of parts, etc, to frustration trying to put them on. It's cathartic to post frustrations on here when stuff isn't going your way. I am sending an email to EKR about the lack of any info shipped with the parts, for all the good it will do. Damn, I've turned into my dad.
