Finally got shipping on mine. Fingers crossed, they should be delivered next Wednesday. Looking at portable electric coolers now.

Hey All,
New to the forum & new to a Toyota Tacoma. My truck has the vinyl or fake leather seats. I really don't want to wear out the outside front seats bolsters, (sliding my butt in & out of the truck). I hate there is no drivers side "A" pillar grab handle to aid getting in & Out.
My question for the group is would seat covers ruin the original non-cloth seat material?
Thank you, Chris

Should be quite the opposite. Every set I have removed over the years protected the original covers.

Don't see why they would, the inside of the covers if a fabric/spongy material that's fairly soft, probably make installation a little easier too with less friction.

If you're really worried, send support an email, they're pretty quick on their responses and they'd know better than us.

Just wanted to throw my two cents out there. I was initially very frustrated with installation as the updated video for 4th gen had not been released when I purchased.
I also got an early version that had holes cut in the wrong places for the back seat buttons and I had the zipper break on my front driver’s top cover during installation.
That being said, as much trouble as I initially had with installing once I was directed (by someone from this forum) to a proper installation video I actually didn’t think it was too bad. It just takes adjusting the front seats a few times during the install.
Finally, when I reached out to EKR with pictures of the misplaced button cutouts and the torn zipper they promptly replied and sent me replacements for everything I needed. Replacements were shipped fast. While I was initially frustrated I’ll just say again, in the end not too bad and I received excellent customer service. Most people don’t even notice they aren’t the original seat fabric. I give EKR 5/5.

How do the rear covers fit? I’ve heard they can be hit and miss with previous gen Tacomas, would like to get the rear ones too though if the fit is good.
Also wondering if the rear covers still allow access to the car seat clips.

My rear seat covers fit nicely. I’ll have to check on car seat clips a little later when the sun comes out:)

The rear fits beautifully, and is the easier part of the install funny enough. Every clip and seatbelt latch is properly cut out if covered by the covers.

Those zippers on the front seats are definitely far from easy, and probably the reason why my fingers were so sore (and still are sore) throughout the install. I found It extremely hard to fully zip up the front covers, definitely something I should've mentioned in my post. I was afraid I would break them myself.

Glad they sorted it out quickly for you. I assume the installation video I watched was the updated and I found even that video had a couple key things missed lol.

Thanks for the info! I really like the look of the black with red stitching that was shown in this post. I’ll be ordering mine asap.
One last thing, when I look on Amazon I see a similar one, but it has a different stitching pattern and also has a red plastic stripe around the outside which doesn’t look as good. The EKR website version doesn’t show it and neither does the picture from this thread.

Given the issues mentioned ordering direct from EKR, I’m wondering if anyone has ordered the Amazon one and seen if they no longer ship it with the red stripe as shown?
I see it with the stripe on both the Canada and US stores

I can't give you an answer, but I can recommend two things. Look at the Amazon reviews and see if someone recently posted a picture with their review. If that fails, give them an email and ask, they're quick on their responses [email protected]
