Getting ready to install a TRD pro grill and worried about disconnecting the wiring harnesses and it throwing codes. Has anyone removed the grill already? Do you need to get under the seat to disconnect the 12v battery? Appreciate any advice.

I did the heritage grille swap and did not disconnect battery on my ltd hybrid and no codes or issues at all.

Done tons of electrical work on my taco as long as it’s not a constant 12v feed which that isn’t you’ll be fine as long as the truck is turned off

You'll be fine - 3 push pins hold the rear seat in. Remove those 3, and then the whole rear seat will lift. From there, disconnect the negative and you'll be good.
