They work perfect especially if you insert them properly lol. Some of these replies are comical.
There is only 2 ways they can possibly be inserted - fat side front, or fat side back - and I tried them both. Either way, they rattle in the hole when opening and closing because the fit is too loose, and there is still play in the gap. *shrug* may i got some bum ones, or my truck has bigger holes, but the play stopped bothering me anyway once i stopped pushing on it lol

Yeah I don't get all the fuss either. It is "fixing" anything as it was designed that way. The gap is not bad and it doesn't rattle. But whatever floats your boat. It is your truck spend your money and mod however you see fit but this is just a non issue and someone making something out of nothing.
The glove box rattles like crazy and those inserts fix that I don't think anybody cares about the gap it's really the rattle!

Regardless what it is, I got these things off of Etsy the second I saw them. Now, no gap, no rattle. They're great!

If your glove box is rattling, that seems like a manufacturing defect to me. Mine does not rattle at all. The door moves a bit if you push on it, but there is no rattling, and the door movement almost seems intentional cause it has springs which keep it from bouncing. Anyway, glad you found a fix for it, but I don't believe this is an issue with everyone's trucks. Whatever works!

Mine didn’t rattle. Just didn’t like the aesthetic of the gap. Whatever works is right!

Sounds like a dealer visit. Mine doesn’t rattle at all. No aftermarket part needed.

My Pro has the "leather" (SofTex) covering so maybe it fills in most of the "gap" that some people see. Maybe that's why there is a gap to allow extra clearance for the Pro/TH/Limited interiors. Mine does have "play" - if you push on the door it will move in some, but you have to push fairly hard. Not even the slightest movement over even the roughest of roads.

Just for feedback and internet history, my truck is in the glove box rattles on rough roads camp.

I did get a chance to measure only 1 other 4th gen, and as far as I can tell from the very minimal sample size, there is a little bit of hole sizing difference between trucks!

Not enough difference for a normal person to care, I am talking 10ths of a millimeter, but enough I believe, to cause a difference with how the latch behaves against the holes depending on which truck you get.

Since these are not cut holes, it's a single injection molded piece. There must be some extremely minor variance between the latch plastic, the mechanism, and the latching holes. Which in some cases ends up in a rattle. As far as I can tell its not the top of the glovebox that rattles, it's the latches (vertically?).

I have read all the debate on what is right or wrong and what people want, and decided I wanted to fix it for myself. However, I noticed that the design of all the "gap fixers" have some fatal flaws that should be adjusted.

If anyone is interested, I have essentially upgraded these, from 3D printed plastic, to press fit seals in a material similar to O-rings.

This design and material should fit in a larger collection of trucks without restriction and in any temperature climate.

This also "gap fixes" to a slightly lesser degree. Meaning less stress on the glovebox, safer to hit with a knee, easier to close, etc. But still does the visual alignment.

Random thought here, my 2025 has no odd gaps I wonder if they read the responses and fixed it? And there’s absolutely no rattles from mine
