If you're towing a car, I'd get a weight distribution hitch. Also, do you the brake controller in your Truck? If not, you'll should see if you can find one. Any load that totals 3000 lb should have trailer brakes. I don't typically to anything that heavy. This trailer will be mainly for my big ZeroTurn and also large lumber that I will be needing to build a few decks at my house. Also, if my buddy and I need to take our 4 wheelers out, we can throw them both on one trailer. I'm unlikely to pull a car, though this trailer will be able to manage a small car if I need it to. I already owned the old camper, so it was an easy choice to rip it up and make a long one. I also have a 5x8 Trailer as well. What are you towing normally? Also what kind hitch? (if anything special)
This is my first truck, and bought it to tow a miata to race tracks, and debating weight distribution hitch
