I would say these kind of defeat the purpose of having rock sliders in the first place. They would ruin your higher clearence and be huge chunks for rocks to catch on and break instead of "sliding" like the sliders are meant for.
That's the point of having them detachable. Take them off before you go off roading or rocking.

Plus, I'm tired of hauling a footstool around so the little lady can get in the truck (mine isn't even lifted - it's stock).
Exactly. Should take 5 minutes to take them off before going offroad.

Ruissimo - are those the Toyota OEM rock rails you have on your Trail Hunter? I have the OEMs on my TRD OffRoad but I want to make sure they fit before I order them. The measurements on the Amazon link don't seem accurate.

It looks like I have about 13.5" between the mounting holes on my rails. Can someone on this thread confirm the width of these steps?

Thanks!
I didn't see this. Yes, they're the OEM rock rails that come with the trailhunter.

I ordered a set of four of them. They are very solid, and they look great. However, please note that there may be 1/4" of a gap between the step mount and the mount where you bolt them to the OEM Rock Rails (see picture). I have tightened them as much as possible, but there is still a small gap. Regardless of that small gap, they are very sturdy and they do not move around at all.

I would buy them again. They work perfectly. See pix for the small gap when mounting them

Measurements are 9.5" wide x 4.5" deep and the drop down is about 1.5"

Could you mount it to the other side of the slider plate? Looks like it is hitting the welds from the angles/images shared.
