Anybody only do partial front PPF and have pictures? The thought of the line bothers me but the price to do full front makes me wonder if I can live with it.

Depends on your level of OCD, I've always done partial, but that line really bugs some people.
Just ask yourself, am I going to see it every day and obsess over it. or am I going to see it say meh, and go on about my day.

I got the entire hood done, bumper, headlights, side mirrors, door cups and edges - that was considered a partial front because I didn’t do the fenders - what do you mean by partial front

Also none of the lines bother me — if done correctly they either wrap the edges if it makes sense to or it’s a near perfect straight line

I had PPF applied to the grill/bumper, hood, front fenders, driver's side A pillar, and mirror backs of my Trailhunter.

Thats the best way. Thats how I had my pro done. This time around I saved $600 and didn’t do the pillars or fenders.

Bumper, grill, Mirrors, 1/4 Hood and Fenders would be partial so lines for the 1/4 coverage

The lines would not bother me (you won’t really notice — just like I could barley notice the clear bra the dealer originally put on) — but I would want more coverage

I was thinking the OP was talking about doing a partial PPF across the hood (First 18" or so), which leaves a line across the hood.

I did partial on my 2017, I did full on the 2024. If you have the funds do the full ppf. No matter how hard you try the line will accumulate “stuff” and be visible. I am a bit OCD and it bothers me. If you DGAF then either partial or just skip it all together.

My wife's suv has the partial PPF on a black hood and I hate it. Luckily she doesn't seem to care. lol

I did full PPF after starting out just planning on doing the front clip. The price is a lot, but knowing that your paint (and the truck's value) is protected is important to me. Chipping seems to be a problem on a lot of our trucks, and before I picked mine up I met someone with multiple chips on the roof. That helped me to make my decision.

I already got a door rock chip. I think finding your balance between the cost and protection is key. I’d say don’t skimp on the hood or front bumper. Wrap those fully. Then decide on fenders and other parts like doors etc.

I got the "full front" wrap (bumpers, mirrors, roof, hood, fenders, etc, and you can hardly tell there's anything there. Since I have a Sport with that wicked awesome "air scoop", that wrap had to be done in two pieces: One big sheet over the whole hood and then a smaller panel behind the scoop to the windshield. Its hardly noticeable and I'm very glad I did the whole thing. The roof has about 18" on the front and that line can be seen, but its not horrible by any means. I might still get a full roof wrap at some point though since my last truck had rust forming in weird spots on the roof (I assume from rocks attacking Javelin missile style, or maybe just bird sh*t). I'll definitely do the full roof wrap if I get a roof rack, since I would imagine washing the top would be a little more challenging.

I do it myself using rolls of 3M PPF from Amazon. I only do the forward-facing metal parts. I've done this on the last three Taco generations and find the plastic doesn't chip like the metal does.
