Not sure. I would like to think that they would only sell new.
Yeah, I would expect it to be new, but I have replacement windshields from other companies, like Safelite. If that was a Toyota part then their QC has fallen farther than I thought.

Good luck.

I think Toyota doesn’t care anymore. There is very low stock of new cars in the Chicago area. It took almost 4 weeks to get a defective replacement…of which now should be in next week sometime. So I’ll have to figure something out and hopefully get it swapped late next week. This makes it basically 6 weeks to replace a windshield. I think that’s about 5 and a half weeks too long!

Well, the replacements replacement was supposed to be here this week…now they pushed it back until the week after Labor Day. So they sent one..it was damaged and for some reason, it’s not priority to get it replaced. Toyota’s quality and level customer service has really taken a shit. They might as well be Kia. 2 months to maybe get a windshield repaired is ridiculous!

Pushed back until mid September…..
Im frustrated beyond belief…Toyota can build 500 trucks in over 2 months. I wish I could talk to someone that can explain why it takes over 2 months to get a windshield…..
first and last Toyota for me. What if it’s something mechanical….they just shrug their shoulders and say sorry. Piss poor customer service….

I think it is very dependent on location and dealership. I was in need of a windshield. First dealership said they were backordered out of Kentucky (I'm west coast) and couldn't even put me on a list. The second dealership I called 20 minutes away was able to locate one the next state over and had it delivered two days later.

Makes no sense.
