Hybrid owners with 17” aftermarket wheels - any concern with brake line / caliper clearance?

Hey guys - I was reading about the TRD OR recall for brake lines (for 17” wheels I believe) and was somewhat concerned that my 17” wheels in the rear are too close to the brake calipers and lines (like half an inch for the calipers or less and 1.5” for the brake line). I think I’ve got half an inch caliper clearance and maybe one inch brake line clearance. Are any of you guys worried about this or have you had any issues? Should I just keep an eye on it?

If your out grinding through mud, it could be a problem. Mine is a non hybrid OR with 17’s and there is about an inch of clearance for the brake line. Been in some of the sticky stuff a couple of times, no problems yet!

FYI my service advisor said he already has the part numbers and on order but Toyota won’t release the parts until early April? Probably waiting for the lawyers blessings! When I get it done I’ll pass the part numbers along, but I’m guessing the larger brakes on the hybrids are considerably different?

which part number for which part? I think the clearance I’ve got is enough and nobody with a hybrid has had an issue that I know of .. but I don’t know for sure whether this is an issue.

The fix is for 4x4s with 17" wheels. All hybrids have larger brakes with different brake line routing. The "fix" won't work on hybrids and Toyota won't come out with a fix for a combo (hybrid with 17s) that they never offered.

yes I’m aware - my question is really focused on the hybrid - the recall just made me think about it and was just wanting to learn about it as it may inform whether I should be concerned about the hybrid running a 17
