Yes-Drilling is required. 2 holes- one on each side of hood.

Dang, that is nice! I was waiting for a no drill solution. I wonder if this will help with the hood flutter issues as well?FYI, Redline Tuning just released their Hood Struts for Tacoma that does not require any drilling. I have had a set on my Mustang for over 8 years with zero issues. I am planning on ordering a set soon.

On a side note the slight hood flutter is still there- maybe not quite as obvious but the struts did not eliminate it completely.Dang, that is nice! I was waiting for a no drill solution. I wonder if this will help with the hood flutter issues as well?
