Lol, this guy is “ASSBURNED “. Still coming to a tacoma forum to plead his case for being impatieant. , clearly says all hes getting in the maverick is superior ,because of his needs. And he trys to justify his choice of trucks……its your money .
The Maverick IMO is a throwaway truck ,that will be sold for $2500-$3000. On used market in 5-6 years its junk. Forn found a nitch for home depot cans of paint and shrubs for flowerbeds, throw in a bag of mulch and your fitting a home depot parking lot……..The OP really should find the ford maverick forum and go there and bash tacomas….to puff his chest out on his ford maverick. This guy is really enjoying the attenion and argues his points with everyone.
Should just give the argument up. , but it is good for forum activety and banter

Maverick was only 2000 lbs tow capacity
Mine has 4000, with an optional towing package that I bought.
Not enough for some, more than enough for me.
And the 2025 model has multiple improvements compared to the previous model, including crash safety.

You are missing the point - I am not comparing a Tacoma to a Maverick. I am sharing my Tacoma ordering experience, that's the purpose of this thread, not converting anyone.

Almost 47k for a pool boy car!? Here I thought the tacomas were overpriced. Good luck with that depreciation.
Well, you've lost $20K upfront, and will lose more on fuel economy, insurance, and repair costs.
So whatever my Maverick will depreciate, it will still be less than what you've lost on your pool boy car. 💐

I have the right to be impatient. Life is short.
Question is why are you still coming to this thread? Why do you feel like you have to defend your Tacoma choice?

Good to know but there's still no ordering from Toyota themselves, and it seemed the same when we had interest in both the Maverick and Ranger. The Ford dealers also spoke of they get what they can get but maybe their buyers' departments can actually make custom orders.

We spent about 2 years considering different needs and options. We tested common and luxury stuff. Where actual custom orders stood out not a Tesla happened to be different league brands such as BMW, M-B etc.... and fleet orders.

I'm sorry you did not find a good Toyota dealer. While the one a few miles from home didn't lift a finger, where we bought and one 200 mi away near our cabin very actively worked getting allocations for customers. One farther and in a rural and rugged area purposely traded allocations for stuff they don't sell often to get pickups. They would send me email of what they would have incoming.

In a way I could not blame the dealer a few miles away. They sell nearly everything at "sticker" often with stuff added. If they had what I wanted they'd also have pocketed near $4000 more than where I bought.

They both can’t be pool boy cars. Mine is a Costco dad truck….
