Utilizing the brake “Hold” function at traffic lights eliminates this from occurring.

It actually doesn't because it happens before the hold logic is activated.

Yes, but that doesn't make it right. To me as an ASE L1, L2, L3 Master Technician, this is a safety issue and needs to be properly diagnosed, reported and possibly issue a safety recall. #NHTSA
