I’m also eagerly awaiting the new 10-pin so I can power my Blackvue without an awful fuse box situation! In case you’re looking for any more early buyers for testing @Dongar. :)

I'm getting ready to install my dashcam after a long 6 months of procrastination. What's the chances you can show me what parts you ordered to make this happen? The Amazon link does nothing for me, possibly because it's a US like not Canada.

Haha right on, man! I would've done the same thing. FYI lets connect in a month or so... I have a new parking mode adapter with 100% custom buck converter designed by our new engineers in Europe (not a generic OTS converter)... low voltage protection, and timers. Would love to send you one for field testing. Can't reveal the final product & enclosure yet because we're still filing patents. Check out a demo here:

Are these available yet. Would like to take you up on your offer to compare!

I installed the Dongar today.

It's a very simple install and gives you a very sanitary power feed for a dash cam.

You get a choice of 3 power settings and it has a built in 12v low battery sensor as well.

I have BlackVue DR970 Plus. What do I need to get for 2024 Tacoma?

Anyone have Blackvue dash cam and use the piggyback to plug onto the mirror?

Use the 5 pin in the headliner.

How do you get the roof light console off? I don’t want to break it… it’s tight. Pulling down in front, no luck. Trying to install Dongar 5pin for Pro on my 24 TRD Sport. What am I doing wrong? Watch vids and follow instructions….need help!
Thanks John T

Just give the front closest to you a good tug straight down. It will get easier the more you do it.

The instructions from Dongar suggest pull straight down from window side. I can only assume that’s from the front. Thanks. John T

I’ve done both methods. They both work, same clips involved. It gets easier the second time.
