The narrower of the two Canadian flaps probably line up with the flairs on the Sport, and the wider ones line up with TH and Pro. At least that would be my guess because AFAIK Toyota hasn't really said anything about that.

I don't see a problem with them being wider though, it just means better protection.

Holy cow - my Canadians came in and they rub like crazy up front and I’ve gotta go back to the US turd flaps - running 33” Falkens — did not realize thr Canadians had a large protrusion

Hey @tacorancher, paint on the side of your truck is highly overrated anyway. :)

I didn't think they intruded into the wheel well much further than the OEM ones. Maybe that is why Toyota put those tiny little shit flaps on at the factory, because there isn't much room with larger tires. They fit fine with my stock Pro wheels/tires - something for me to keep in mind when it is time to upgrade.

Yeah. I mean my tires aren’t huge and barely a larger diameter than OEM. The Canadian flaps come half an inch or more. I won’t ever be going smaller than 33” so it’s either high clearance aftermarket flaps or these US OEMS.

You still have options, but too bad you spent that money on flaps that won't fit. You might try selling them here because they would be good for all the stock trucks.

There are good aftermarket flaps that are thin and don't intrude much at all. That could be your next move.

It’s all in the spirit of experimentation - ifs fine. I may put the back ones on. I’m just worried my alignment is off because I think others with 285/70/17s run these flaps but I’m not entirely sure.

I put the rears on but what utility do they really have? If I can’t sell the set without both fronts and rears I may as well take them off.

That is what surprised me too. I have never heard anyone say these flap rubbed, so I just assumed they would be fine. I assume you had an alignment done after the new wheels and tires, correct? So I don't understand what is different on your truck.

And I would want front and rear flaps that match, so I would sell them as a set, but then I am kind of OCD and I'm sure that you aren't. lol

I never got an alignment done. But the candian flaps no doubt protrude into the wheel well quite a bit. I could probably move my castor forward but I’m not messing with that. Truck drives perfect. I’ve got PPF. I’ll live with it until I find the right aftermarket solution.

should I keep the back ones?

I would get an alignment just to be sure you haven't changed the front end with the new wheels and different tires. But on the other hand you might have pushed the envelope just a bit too much and will need thin aftermarket flaps - and there are some good choices out there.

I really don’t think anything happened with the alignment - it’s always been close

@TacoFreak - can you take a picture of how close your tire gets to the flap at full lock with the OEM tires? My tires are barely larger than yours. Maybe the added width is what makes it rub?

This is interesting! I had to go out and check that I didn't get scammed and get some US mud flaps 😂

I had no idea the Canadian mudflaps were wider, although I have to say, still completely useless without some sort of rails, steps, etc.

Rocks still happily flick up onto the body panel.

I love that my truck has hips, others are jealous of my trucks hips, but they're a curse when it comes to rocks and road debris.

I'm my eyes the Canadian ones are still shit. Why is there a gap between the bottom of the flair and the top of the flap? I get shit all over the side of my truck. I run a 285 on a stock OR rim so maybe it's my fault.
I have a set of RokBlokz sitting in my garage I have yet to install.
I guess the bottom of the flap is indeed wider but still a poor design on both products in my eyes.
I’m running 285/70/17 and the Canadian flaps had me rubbing like crazy so I had to pull them off.. they have a big protrusion that hits my tire…. Odd nobody else is having this issue???

I have the Canadian larger flaps and they still do not protect the rear quarters 100%. Definetly an improvement on the doors.

if those are 285/70/17 Falkens that’s what I run and I can’t run the Canadians without serious rubbing 🤷🏻‍♂️.. no idea why.. could you please show me how close your tires get to rubbing the mud flap at full lock
