OEM Trifold Hard Tonneau Cover PT954-35240 installed on 2024 Tacoma

I have had one for a couple weeks and it's been through torrential downpours (south FL). Yes, it leaks some. More in the tailgate end than anywhere else.

Anyone have experience mounting bed racks with this type tonneau cover?

@Everything TRD Hey OP, does the OEM trifold relocate the bed rails? From your photos it seems to mount directly to the existing bed rails. Note that the BAK mx4 relocates the bed rails which may limit OEM bed accessories that relies on bed rail positions.

Yes, they relocate them a couple inches down

My dealer showed me the cover and told me that it is a rebranded BAKflip. Ordered mine a couple of weeks ago. Still waiting for it to ship .

Hey guys just wanted to let everyone know that the OEM Trifold Hard Tonneau Cover PT954-35240 fits nicely on the 2024 Tacoma.

If your dealer says it’s not on the catalog and they’re not sure if it will fit on the 2024, I’m here to let you guys know it does. Same thing happened to me and the parts guy didn’t want to order it for me at first but I assured him that I would take full responsibility if it didn’t fit which I knew it would because of the post that was made here with the Hawaii region getting them in and installing them.

After I placed the order, I got it the next day as they had it in stock in the next state over. As of now they don’t have the instruction manual but it’s pretty straight forward and I used the 2022+ Tundra installation instructions for reference. It’s very similar to the Bakflip MX4 and wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same cover with Toyota branding. Hope this helps anyone!

Preordered the MX4 from Yota Garage on 03/26 with a Shipping ETA of 04/30. on 05/05 Yota said ETA shipping was now 05/15. Checked again yesterday and they are now saying ETA for shipping is mid to late June. Canceled the order and called my local Dealership for OEM one(05/10). it was ordered and will be here on Monday 05/13

I was in the same boat. Extang and MX4 deliveries were all out in July. I just went with the OEM hard tonneau. It’s essentially an MX4 anyway.

Tonneau fit great. Easy to install. Bed divider was too wide and needed modifications. Cut 3/4” off both ends of the divider and both rail brackets. Fits perfect. Put the attachment screw on the bottom side of the divider to give more room between the divider and tonneau. Very happy with them both.
