Order Allocation Status

Hello, I’m new around here but have been lurking multiple threads and came across this image. I’ve been in discussion with my local Toyota dealership, and have been in the waitlist since last year for a Trailhunter. When I showed them this image, they said that they won’t get a screen like that until Toyota has allocated that truck to them. My questions are: does the dealership have to request for the truck? If they don’t have this screen, does it mean that they have not been able to request for a Trailhunter allocation? I’m just curious because I’ve seen Trailhunters crop up in the Toyota inventory tracker at much smaller dealerships yet the dealership I’m ordering from has neither a Trailhunter nor a TRD pro incoming.

Toyota can be a bit random with allocations. If you’re looking for a truck soonish you will probably have to do some legwork and talk to lots of dealers. If you must buy from a particular dealer it could be a while.

yeah I’m in no rush but was surprised by the distribution of the halos being all over the place/not prioritizing higher volume dealerships. Well I hope for both you and I that we get a vin in by July!
