Just Secured a TRD OR in Black/Premium package @ MSRP from Toyota of Wooster in Ohio. There were a few port options, but not bad. Some of them I was actually going to buy anyway :). Build Date is 2/5. Going to suck waiting. I figure if they do build it on 2/5, I might get it before the end of the month.

Try waiting sense June with hardly any communication 😂 Jokes aside that's a pretty good wait date for putting your name in so late. Enjoy!

Stopped by my local dealer, Town and Country Toyota (Charlotte, NC) on Saturday. This is a big dealership which is part of the Sonic Automotive Group. Asked a salesmen when the new model would be in and feeling them out for pricing (MSRP and/or ADM). Right off the back I can expect a minimum $5k ADM for the TRD-Pro and Trailhunter.

One more greedy dealership taking advantage of limited supply and high demand. Told the sales guy I work too hard to piss money away and I might be back when a reasonable price (MSRP or lower) is a reality.

For me, it’s not about what I can afford as much as the principle of paying more than MSRP. To the fat cats paying ADM, good for you. To the ones paying ADM and can’t afford it, take a pause and think about it…. Is it really worth sticking you neck out? F- the dealerships who are pulling these D-bag moves. The FTC will hopefully fix these shady dealers by mid summer.
It's good to be a Toyota dealership in today's U.S. market (vs. Stellantis or Ford, or any struggling US manufacturer).

I'm on the south side of Charlotte, just across the NC/SC border in Ft Mill. My closest SC dealership is a little bit more south in Rock Hill, SC.

Toyota of Rock Hill is a reputable dealership (given the Google ratings). I don't really know, since I moved to the area (from South FL) 3 years ago, and the 2024 Taco will be my first Toyota.

Despite my $1000 deposit (in Dec 23 for a 2024 TRD Off-road with the top Premium package/Underground color) and multiple requests to get my salesman to provide me with timely updates as to when the dealership can expect allocation of said Taco) I've gotten NOTHING from him to date as to when I can expect the exact build I want to arrive.

I DID get ("in writing" via e-mail, before I made the deposit) his promise that no Market Adjustments would be made, save the TRD Pro models, for which the dealership plans to play that game.

Do people pay ADMs? Well I guess some must or they wouldn't still be trying, there is no circumstance where I would. When are these manufacturers going to understand their customers do not want the old dealership model anymore?

Most customers know more about the vehicles than the sales people these days anyway. Stop paying these people commission for...what? Not being so deplorable that I didnt actually get up and leave? Just have some service centers and let us buy the cars online directly from the manufacturer.

They would probably love to sell direct. Most states require manufacturers to sell through dealerships, so they are protected by law. Tesla had issues with this from the beginning.

You need to start harassing them. Even if they don't have an allocation, they can probably find one and trade. My dealership did just that. It took them 3 days. I'm getting the same trim as you, but black. Talk to the sales manager, and if they don't cooperate go to another dealer. I had a dealer messing me around for weeks, then another one called me. They got the car quickly @ MSRP

Have any trucks been confirmed to be at dealerships yet? Or are they still waiting in Mexico for EPA stuff? I don't mean some update on a website, I mean has anyone seen any at a dealership yet?

Based off this there appears to be several in transit with delivery dates over the next 2 weeks. Looks like a lot of them have dealer holds on them so they are spoken for.

Thank you for this, I appreciate it. I’m waiting on a hybrid myself, just my keeping tabs on what Toyota has going on currently.

Interesting they have TRD Pros going out, and I’m honestly not sure what the trail edition is? I know they did that for the 3rd gen, but not the 4th. Unless those are old 3rd gens that have yet to ship…

I’m sure the Pros are for shows and upcoming ride and drive events

There are no 24 Pro's on the list yet. All are 23's

And yes, the trail hunters are just left overs from the 23's

If it was built weeks ago then you should see it on the allocation list.

Yeah I do see one underground on the berge toyota Mesa. The list is little complicated but ive had a loaner for like 2 weeks now. They gave it to me because the vin came out and started transit.

My trade in: https://www.bergetoyota.com/invento...f-road-4wd-crew-cab-pickup-3tmcz5an9gm015355/

Well if it is this one then it does not look like it is even in production yet.
