SmartCap vs. Expedition. I went down the rabbit hole researching both stainless steel bed caps currently on the market for the 2024 Tacoma. I watched tons of YT videos on both products.
The SmartCap and Expedition both appear to be durable bed caps that the buyer assembles at home. The major difference is that the Expedition comes with solid stainless steel sides, the SmartCap comes with glass sides.
The SmartCap is priced @ $4,400 + tax + shipping. The OVS Expedition with my 15% discount was $2,289 including sales tax (free shipping).
The OVS Expedition cap won my business in the end but the cap is currently on BO. The representative claims it should arrive sometime in February.
I would love to hear from any OVS Expedition cap owners about their ownership experience.
