My truck went through the settings update a couple days ago. It's done this before and they are usually pretty quick. Maybe 10-15 seconds. This time was different. It lasted longer (over a minute maybe) and I had to enter my pin when it was complete. Since then....my tire pressure setting hasn't disappeared? Not saying it won't again. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this?

My Sport had its first birthday and I have had mixed “problems/issues” randomly within that year. I also have had the TP disappear repeatedly after being set and stay put for months, recently it disappeared again so I changed the dash screen background to a different setting and put the TP back and this stayed for a few weeks then the background returned to my previous selection bug the TP was still there. I changed to another background with the TP and it has stayed put for a month already. I have a video showing start up of truck and you see the default/my original setting then it changes to TP!
If you know computer programming it’s almost like the field was not cleared or checked or the “GET” instruction failed? I dunno their code but perhaps a “BR14” could fix it! 😂

@Xjim My dash display doesn't keep its settings either. I get it just the way I want it and eventually everything from the displayed items to the background change for no known reason.

My 2024 pro does the same thing. Also had problems with the tail gate sometimes not closing and last week the truck wouldn’t start! They say the 12v battery failed and I’m driving a loner now waiting for the part. Seems like it’s more then just software bugs for me.

Our trucks not keeping their 12v batteries charged is probably why they added an alternator to hybrids for the 2025 model year. Toyota must have realized that keeping the battery charged with just the motor/generator was not enough, but what about those of us who bought 2024 hybrids without an alternator?

Yeah I’m not happy with this. Not sure what is to be done though.
Yep - there is probably nothing that we can do, and I don't expect that Toyota will add alternators to the 2024s.

After my truck was in the detail shop for a week getting PPF it would not hold its CarPlay connection until I had driven it for about 15 miles. Looking back on that I think the 12v was probably low from it being shuffled around that shop for five days. That might also explain other lost settings and tailgate issues, in addition to your truck failing to start.

I've had my non hybrid sport for over a year and haven't had any OTA updates.

Mine are the same. Yesterday was actually the first time I noticed it say "updating setting" or something like that but it only took 4 or 5 seconds and it didn't even interrupt the song that was playing. Have not had any issues with the infotainment or the gauge cluster. Everything is the way I set it and it stays that way.
