I have some “thoughts” about it. None of them good.

Carista made that problem disappear. Was ready to return the darn truck after the third day of it shrieking at me 15 feet off the driveway. It's gone now, never to return. Highly recommend, and still leaves the seatbelt idiot light on the instrument cluster, so it's still safe- kind of

Thanks for the Carista suggestion. That's not something I've worked with before. Is that a straight forward procedure? Would not want to end up with a brick!

I had never used something like Carista before either, and found it beyond simple to use. I turned off the front seatbelt chimes since is usually just me in the truck and I’m just backing out to the mailbox, but left the rear seatbelt chimes on to ensure the grandkids stay buckled up. I just used it yesterday to tweak the temperature control and speaker volume. Took me five minutes total.

Turning off that nasty chime was one of the first things I did with my Carista. It is a straightforward process and easy to do.

I had my dealer turn that off in my Tundra because I drove it on a private gravel road and it was irritating as hell. Some dealers resist making that change, which is one of the reasons I bought a Carista.
