Seatbelts and Active Cruise Control

Here is a unique system link. I turned off the front seat seatbelt chimes with Carista and kept the backseat chimes active to ensure the grandchildren keep their belts on. I wanted the front off for short trips to the end of the driveway or just moving the truck. Well I was bitten by my own horse. While loading things in the truck and getting in and out a few times I forgot my own seatbelt. While on the highway to the airport I tried to engage Active Cruise Control and got a message that it was unavailable. My first thought was some sensor or camera error. However as soon as I realized my seatbelt was not buckled and buckled it, Active Cruise Control immediately became available.

Noticed the same recently. I’m actually cool either way. With the sound off it’s a safe trade off!

I wear my seatbelt and use the adaptive cruise control. It's a win-win.
