SOLVED: Cannot Enter Home Address in App

In their manual, Toyota states that you can only enter your home address for use in the navigation system using the Toyota app. In the app, you click on Find, then Destinations and the next screen shows Home, Work, Favorites, and Sent to Car. If you haven't set up Home and Work addresses, There will be red "Set up" text. Click that and it takes you to a search screen where you can search for your home address, work address, etc. When I type in my home address, the app just sits there and does nothing.

has anyone had this issue and is there a way around it? I'd like to be able to use the navigation feature of "take me home" but without my home address it's not going to be much help!

I agree 100% that Google Maps through CarPlay is the way to go, and I wouldn't pay for a navigation subscription. I'm on my trial period and I thought I would give it a full try to see what it's like. Looks like others have the same problem.

Good to know, but sorry you're having the same frustrating issue. I was wondering if it might just be happening to Canadian customers, but you have answered that question. Thank you.

I have solved this problem, or at least found a way around it. For some reason, it just doesn't work on my phone (iPhone SE2022). I loaded the app on my iPad, and it worked beautifully.

If I open the app on my phone, it now shows my home address where it should.
