Just saw BBC (reputable news source) released an article that 25% tariffs on imported cars will start April 2. The president says they will actually happen. Ford and GM stock is already down. Since our favorite truck is assembled in Mexico, will our used Tacomas increase in value 25%?

"Bargaining chip"... no it's more like flailing. This whole thing is incredibly dumb because Trump is ripping up the trade agreement he wanted and negotiated. Why he didn't do this back in 2017 who knows.

Short term I'm guessing Toyota will eat the cost. Longterm, who knows where this goes but if they are here to say there will either be a price adjustment or more likely Toyota figures out a way to move Tacoma production back to Texas. But my gut feeling and hope is that this is short term and nothing changes.
