This Truck's Tech Is Overwhelming

Well tommorow is my day i pick my new TRD Offroad Hybrid,Premium up after a long wait,
Excited like a kidi wont lie, Last truck was 11 years ago and she will be retired tommorow, Toyota 4 Runner 198,000 Wonderful, happy flawless miles, so on this note,
having test drove new truck it was mind blowing.
Everyday im reading about everyones experiances and this truck seems pretty complicated on the tech no-how, im not a computer guy,
so on that note is all the tech stuff difficult to figure out, i know during delivery they will brush over things, i guess i have to link my phone to toyota app, and then all the other tech things….
The 4 wheel drive, locker engagement, crawl and the sdm front is simple….so i guess im going to be using the search feature ofton and asking. How to things everyone seems pretty fluid doing ,lol.

I'm 32, decently good with tech, the truck is definitely overwhelming, but the owners manual is really great and seems easy enough to navigate, it'll take time to get used to the truck, in my case, I'm still getting used to how wide it is from the 2nd and 3rd gen I had before

there's a search menu in the truck settings and its great

It’s a fair amount to take in all at once. Make sure the salesperson helps you pair your phone before you leave, so you’re not having to mess with it on your way home.

Stabi bar works anytime under 18mph, 4H is straight forward, you must be in 4H before switching to 4L and in neutral, the locker only works in 4L. Have fun!!!

I would recommend just focusing on a long test drive without the salesman. Adjust your mirrors and drive.

When you get back, inspect it bumper to bumper.

You can learn all the tech stuff later.

The first few drives will feel pretty overwhelming but in short order you'll be rallying it. I flew to Vegas to pickup my TH, never test drove one. Coming from a full size dodge my nerves were still a little on edge because driving around in city rush hour I wasn't familiar with and how the truck handled/front viewing angle, etc. Will probably have similar vibes when I start to offroad it. My initial thoughts driving off the dealership day one was it 'felt' like a big truck. But it's really not. My long bed TH is a long truck for a taco, but it's width is the sweet spot IMO.

The tech is ideal to learn in an empty parking lot, dial in those camera buttons, turn radius etc. first ~20mi on a road trip you'll master adaptive cruise

If the tech is distracting at first, shut off the screen for the first few drives, truck doesn't rely on the display to be on all the time. (And the cameras will wake the screen if you're backing up/press the view button). play with the nav & cameras in the driveway was my learning curve.
