Just finished up installing the Trailhunter exhaust dump on my TRD-OR Premium. All in all, it took me about 15 minutes with the "toughest" part being getting the rubber hanger pieces off of the old exhaust. I ended up leaving the rear one as I didn't get it to come off the truck's posts. Can anyone think of any reason why that'd be a problem? Just curious.

Overall it was a super easy install. Can't wait to get it on some dirt!

They have a nice Subaru “pop” on cold start and you can hear a deeper pitch (if you’re really looking for it) but overall, it’s not intended to make any difference other than clearance.

My only “issue” is the market availability for these “enhancements” (not necessarily “upgrades”). Companies like @NYTOP sell these “10” long mandrel bent tubes with exhaust hangers for $250 justifying this piece age because it’s titanium yet who’s going to see it? Is it for bragging rights? Does it add to actual gains? Nope. The factory ones are very nice but most of the dealerships around here (NC/VA) are on back order and have a 4-6 week wait time. Now I opted for going to SXTH Element and not only did I talk to a real human being for over an hour and a half but it was the actual marketing director (not a title given to everyone to “feel seen and entitlement”) but ordering it on a Thursday afternoon at 550p, it was at my doorstep on Saturday morning. That in itself was shocking since I’ve had things sent from the same city I live and it’s taken 6-8 days but this was in SC and im in Central NC. Zach said that SXTH is developing a lot of new products for the 24-25 and want to remain as close to factory prices which they absolutely did at $100, but instead of just mandrel bent tubes and simplistic designs, they really made theirs beautiful with tight piecut welds and took extra care to package the box, sent stickers in my choice of colors, business cards, etc. Anyone looking for some unique products, even some factory replacements, give them a call… they’re not going to rush you off the phone and make you feel like a sale for the day, I’ve called a few more times and they actually will remember you (they aren’t a small business but not too large like ExtremeTerrain).

And I took my exhaust to the dealership before I went to install it at my shop, even the parts department, advisors and techs liked this style and thought it would’ve been more justifiable to pay NYTOP prices for this. Lol

Yeah it just screams of bitterness and defensiveness. Let's go back to looking at my cool new exhaust lol

Yeah, I've noticed that this bulletin board allows "sponsors" to hijack posts. That is unacceptable on all of the bulletin boards that I have been a member of and contributed to for decades.

We'll see if I am allowed to criticize the website without being banned.

This forum is def the most sleezy feeling of any forums I've used in the past 20 years. It feels very "paid mouthpiece."

That's why I mostly use Tacoma World. Yeah, lots of a-holes, but it feels Iess like an infomercial.

On top of that, we were the first one to come out with the axle dump exhaust tip for the 4th Gen Taco, before anyone else, even Toyota.
I highly doubt this is true. Toyota had the exhaust dump installed on the Trailhunter even on the press release trucks, so that OEM part was designed and produced in early 2023.

And I agree with others - hijacking this post is definitely sleazy self-promotion.
