I’m OCD so I can tell the wheels are darker but most humans cannot tell / would never notice. It’s close enough. Do you want me to take some close ups? I assume you’ve seen my truck a million times on here.

Honestly that would be sick if you could, or see if you can just get them both in the same shot where you feel you can tell the difference?

I'm considering either blacking out the front if I go with black wheels, or going the way you chose if it looks good together.

mix of OEM and SCS photos below. Depends on the lighting. Not a perfect match — OEM is no doubt more gold— but I think it looks good and pretty close. I’m not going to change the badging because I’ll be running 2 sets of wheels and I’ll be bringing the OEM back at some point.

I ordered the matte black last night. Now to decide if I want your tried and true 285's or if I wanna take a risk with 35" tires. They look so good at that size, but knowing me I'll be the one to run into problems.

I'm hoping @Independence Overland chimes in. He did a YT video where he mentioned putting 35's on his TH. It didn't sound like he had to do any modifications, but I'm not certain. I figure he's around right now since he just posted about his freakin' awesome build.

Yes it is. But will they fit without taking them off? That is the crux of the question. I'm not so sure he removed them.

Hey - so for 35s I think crash pads must be taken off - for ~34” it’s borderline

I think the biggest without taking off crash pads is likely stock rims + 285/70/18 — those are like 33.7” tire
