Yep, mine is still 100% stock. On my 17 Pro, when I went to E rated KO2’s, I went from 19.5 down to 16. Just one of the prices you pay for looks and capability off road.

Yup. I am surprised how little 0.8” and 20 pounds per corner reduced gas mileage. But my theory is that the electric motor is doing the hard work of moving the tires from stop on acceleration. On deceleration there is more inertia to charge the battery. So there is some offset there. That said, braking and handling overall took a nosedive with the heavier tires.Yep, mine is still 100% stock. On my 17 Pro, when I went to E rated KO2’s, I went from 19.5 down to 16. Wind resistance is massive. I don’t get 24-that’s really good.wind resistance plays a big impact. I can see 24mpg on the highway at 65 mph but if I go up to 75 i get 20-21. At 80+ im probably getting 19. we are rolling bricks.
16-19 around town. I'm still pretty much stock.
I think i just like how the boost/waste gate sound through the snorkel and it’s costing me a pretty penny...Very surprising gas mileage, does the Trailhunter have different tranny/diff gearing than other trims? I have a TRD sport and getting 18-19 around town 22-23 highway. Just trying to grasp what the major difference may be. Tires maybe? Seems like I'm hearing this from a number of TH owners.
I mean, for starters our trucks are 5400 pounds curb weight. Sit taller. No air dam. It’s really not that surprising we don’t get the same gas mileage. Also the variability makes sense because we may get good mileage on a lower wind day going 60mph. We have a larger swing.Very surprising gas mileage, does the Trailhunter have different tranny/diff gearing than other trims? I have a TRD sport and getting 18-19 around town 22-23 highway. Not disagreeing whatsoever, just disheartening when combined with the smaller fuel tank. Plus, Toyota posted the estimated fuel consumption at 10.3 l/100 km combined. From what I am seeing here, that's probably 5 l /100 km too generous or give or take 50% off. That's a pretty significant deviation from the estimate.I mean, for starters our trucks are 5400 pounds curb weight. Sit taller. No air dam. Do you change your driving mode to SPORT (or ECO) each time you get into the vehicle? I noticed & then read in the manual that each time I turn off the TH, the TH reverts back to NORMAL mode.I’ve been running sport mode for the last couple hundred miles and in the freeway I’m now averaging 22.5. This in on 87octan.
I have to reset it to sport, but it will stay in Normal or Eco through a power cycle.Do you change your driving mode to SPORT (or ECO) each time you get into the vehicle? I noticed & then read in the manual that each time I turn off the TH, the TH reverts back to NORMAL mode.
At first it would change to Normal mode but now it stays in Eco mode even after turning off then back on.Do you change your driving mode to SPORT (or ECO) each time you get into the vehicle? I noticed & then read in the manual that each time I turn off the TH, the TH reverts back to NORMAL mode.
I hit 1100 miles on my stock trailhunter that game with Toyota OEM roof rack and I just hit 17 today after a 2.5 hour highway trip to the mountains the last few days. It's pretty disappointing. I think it'll settle around 16/16.5. This is with eco, and changing the adaptive cruise control to the lowest acceleration. For yall getting 12/13, that doesn't make any sense because I'm at 6.5k elevation and 85 octane fuel all the time so if you're in eco and babying it, you should beat me. Going to take the roof rack off for a month and see if there's a difference. Also, it feels like the motor is undersized because it's practically always using the turbo even when you're barely accelerating. All the thumbs up I get and people coming to see it is almost worth it though
Also, remote start warming in the morning factors into MPG and lowers it.
