4200 km on my Canadian edition Trailhunter which comes with the sunroof, ARB sport bar and Toyota roof rack. Sticker said 10.3 L/100 km (22.8 mpg) combined for this truck. I have been resetting the vehicle - trip information - history every fill, and have driven a mix of city and highway (cruise set at 115-120 kph (71-75 mph)). I have been averaging 15-17 L/100km (13.8 - 15.7 mpg). Needless to say I am very unimpressed. Fuel economy combined with the smaller tank is by far the biggest letdown for me with this truck. I fill up and immediately see ~380 km to empty. That's unacceptable. If it was getting what Toyota stated it would get, that should say ~534 km to empty (assuming 15 L for emergency reserve). I am actually happy to see others getting the same so it's not just me.

I will try putting it in sport mode, what is the worst that happens, bad fuel economy?! I recently pulled the sport rack off and put on the Smartcap EVOa topper. Once Long Ranger or an equivalent company makes the extended range tank I will be buying it.

Trailhunter here as well, and you are dead on with my gas mileage, and I agree, very disappointing. I lost 1-1.2 MPG (average) with the addition of the Prinsu roof rack.

Whoah. What app is this? I need it
This is the Fuelly app. Someone earlier in the thread was wanting to see someone's profile. It gives a better over time record of fuel and service costs. (You can record all your service) and it will give you a total vehicle cost if you are diligent.

Do you have a profile on Fuelly? I’d like to look at your logs.
You can see my Fuelly profile above- I couldn't figure out how to see someone else's logs on Fuelly. How do you do that? Also- i tow the boat and camper frequently- so if you can see them- I get 12-13 MPG with either one of those.

I own the 2024 Tacoma SR Xtracab 4x4 and with just under 1000 miles since I purchased it December 19,2024 I have been getting 24 mpg. I have radials on steel wheels. I have not installed the SmartCap EVO Defender and Bed Slide S yet but expect to lose 2 mpg with the xtra weight. I also have that air dam under my bumper that I have yet to remove but will once a full face Bumper is available for purchase for GEN 4
Yea, none of this is applicable here- the trailhunters way a ton more than the lower trims, and the gas mileage suffers as a result.

For those getting mileage under what you expected - are you running tires that weigh 60 or more pounds - this is a big factor and took my mileage down from 20+ to 18+

Completely stock from the manufacturer up to the point I added the topper (last week).

My Pro was getting between 14 and 17 mpg consistently, and the average never went above 17 mpg, even with only reasonable speeds on the freeway.

Now two things have changed, so it is hard to be sure why, but my mileage has improved a lot.

My truck of course has more miles, but just 1,500 miles so far. But a few weeks ago I listened to some advice on this forum and tried Sport. I hadn't used it before because I love the power and controlled handling on the road that makes my truck so fun to drive. To me it already was in Sport mode. lol

Now in Sport mode full time I am getting 18-20 mpg on average and trips are up to 22 mpg on the highway.

I know it makes no sense, but my fuel efficiency went up a lot by switching to Sport mode.

Not a TH but my pro is on record to get the same awful gas mileage my 22 pro did. I haven't been using the trip meter because it's been hidden in the menus but I finally got it setup on dash oard view 2 so we'll see what the actual mileage ends up being versus the dash.

Holy cow - I bet under load holding in lower gears is better
