I have mine directly in the middle under the rearview mirror. Here’s the driver and passenger view. From the driver side, you don’t see any wires or adapter. And you still have access to the dash cam’s buttons and screen.

I have my Dongar up high in the dots next to the plastic cover. My Garmin MIni 2 is attached to the dots, but the lens is looking just below them. Nice and tidy.

After trying the Dongar and returning it I bought the VIOFO adapter and ran the wire easily down to the fuse box under the glove box.

Thank you! I was between Dongar and Viofo adapter. What made you prefer the latter? I thought the fuse box had some clearance issues with the plastic trim covering it when using a viofo adapter

Well the Dongar didn’t work in parking mode the whole reason I bought it. I think someone finally found the magic settings to get it to work maybe but I was done trying so I bought the VIOFO one that just works. There is no clearance issues. Yes you cannot use the small fuse box cover but the big cover that would keep any feet from hitting it works no problem.

Dongar works beautifully for me, both in and out of parking mode. Also used one of the cables from the Dongar kit to tap into the factory dashcam power plug for my V1 G2 radar detector. Been too lazy to hook up the rear facing camera on the dashcam because the weather has been cold. Just one more thing on my to-do-list.
